I use a socket for punching the bolt holes, works great on regular gasket material, not sure about cork but I'd try it.Be sure to have a good hard background when hitting the socket with a hammer.

Ammo shells are working great so far. I wish I knew about that trick a long time ago.

Pick up one of those hole punch kits at northern tools or tractor supply for about $20. Use a good piece of hardwood for your backing when punching. Preferably punching with the grain of the wood, causes less bounce and a cleaner hole. Something like a smooth end of a piece of firewood. We use a piece of oak about 16" diameter at work.

Shells work pretty well on cork and paper. I typically trace the exterior and use punches for the bolt holes. Like some have said, hollow punch sets can be had pretty inexpensively.

I have added them to my list. I want to know how the yamaha dealer back home did it. They had a machine that cut them on demand.
