I don't :quote:need:quote: it to read ABS codes, but I figured I would try and find one that does if I am pulling the trigger and buying one. I would rather only buy one and have it be able to do EVERYTHING I would ever need it to do. But I definitely need it to read GM and Nissan vehicles, thats a must.

Will you really ever need it for anything 1995 or newer?

If not, grab one of the $150 OBD II + ABS models above and put that extra $50 back in your pocket!

What is confusing?

He initially wanted a fairly tricked out OBD II scanner. We found some of those for him. Then he seemed to get a little caught up in the OBD I also units. I was just saying that he should just get the OBD II unit with ABS and not worry about the OBD I side of things.

Does that make sense?

So I guess its narrowed down to the Equus 3150, and the Actron CP9580.
