Nothing runs like a Deere.
Well, after a long ass winter and way too much money the bike lives! Top end got a full rebuild and thank god the bottom end was in good shape or it would have cost me 3x as much $. Helped with some of the work and learned a lot but had a family friend's brother do quite a bit of the rebuild (He lives up in northern alberta as a mechanic). The piston head had grooves in it from the valves contacting it since they were so out of spec. Basically he said the thing was about 5 minutes from exploding. Havent ridden it yet but hopefully the weather will get a little warmer and the snow will melt so i can get it out for 3 or 4 break in rides before i take it out for a good ride.
