Hard to believe Harvick is still leading the points. Not by much, but still leading none the less. :D

After being talked into taking a FREE ticket to the race this past weekend I decided to go ahead and check it out. This was the first race I've been to since 2005. Not a lot has changed minus less people. That was the 1st Atlanta race I've seen that empty. You could sit damn near anywhere you wanted after the first 50 laps.

On to the action, the 99/12 wreck is just more proof of why those damn wings must go. As soon as that car was sideways it was coming off the ground. Roof flaps, and hood flaps aren't even slowing the things down from lifting off the ground. For the record that wreck was right in front of where I was sitting!

Now onto my problem with the accident. This NEW Nascar and it's rules sorta went out the window when they parked Edwards. Sure it was a bad wreck and we all know Carl wasn't meaning to flip Brad, but when you tell everyone that the drivers can handle "situations" themselves, shit like this happens! Then to park Edwards because the 12 car flipped, or was it because he retaliated, what's it gonna be??? Nascar looks like once again, they're saying one thing and doing another. Same story, different year. One more thing, I'm thinking Brad may want to leave this little battle alone. Carl could snap him in half!

Oh well, other then that it was a fun race to watch. Typical Atlanta race there in the middle. I've yet to see an Atlanta race that hasn't been a sleeper in the middle of they race since they changed the track back in 97. Other then that, a free ticket and smaller crowd to deal with made it all that more enjoyable!

I think nascar did what it had to do. They have done great so far jsut letting them drive. But there is a fine line between bumpin or movin someone and jsut driving threw them and Carl crossed that big time. I like Carl he is a great driver and most the time a class act. And for Brad i dont think he needs to change a thing he is just aggresive and with that you will get a driver like that. He reminds me a lot of Sr. He will not give a inch and he is not affraid to move anyone.
It is good to see the wing gone that was such a joke.

That was the 1st Atlanta race I've seen that empty. You could sit damn near anywhere you wanted after the first 50 laps.

You should have seen both the Bristol races, and all three Charlotte races last year,Same way,Lots of empty seats.
I was really shocked at all the empty seats at the night Bristol race in August, but then again that track hasn't been the same since they repaved it a few years ago....they ruined it :(

Yeah,I first went to Bristol in '96,Then didn't go again until '04 for the night race (Jr. WON!!) I've gone to almost every Bristol race since then,But the first race after they repaved it really disappointed me,I'm not going to the race in a couple weeks because of this, maybe it just needs time to get "wore-in" but its been a couple years now, you'd think it would be worn-in by now!
