KYB shock install on GMT-800

That's a bummer. My truck really needs them, though, you can tell how it bounces constantly.

That lift is pretty cool,how much will it lift....I wonder if it will lift my Burb :dunno:


We sell alot of KYBs where I work,I'll be putting those same shocks on my Burb in a few months :thumbs:

The lift is rated at 6K pounds. It would work to just get the wheels off the ground to rotate tires and such but I wouldn't take it way up. The burb is what 7K?

It wouldn't lift my truck, then. Your truck is probably right there at 5500-6000 lbs.

Tyler, like I posted, my original shock were not bad. I can push and pull them and they feel the same as the new ones so I guess that is why I didn't feel any difference. If your shocks are shot then I would guess you would see a difference.

It surprised me, these are not gas pressured like some. When you push down they don't push hard back up at you like a gas shock.

Hmmmm, that's interesting, monotubes are ussually more stiff than regular twin tubes.

How much does your truck weigh? Can't be much more than mine.

i think its a little over 6k :)
