Cant decided between HU #1 and #2. Either way I'll have to get this and this. I'm going to spend a few extra $$ on the RCA to iPod cable for a better quality cable. I'm getting paid tomorrow so hopefully I can insure my truck and get a battery :fingersx:

Second one!!! Excelon is better than Kenwood's normal line.

Why do you need the 2nd THIS? Can't you just use the headphone output? I'd be a lot cheaper? I'm just not familiar with iPod's.

I know you are trying to keep the cables hidden behind the headunit, but those cables will not charge the iPod or allow you to control the iPod through the headunit (if you want that).

If you don't want the headunit to control the iPod, look for the iSimple IS75 cable, it gives you RCA outputs and charges the iPod. There is also the KNW/13-POD cable, which connects the iPod directly to the CD changer port on your Kenwood. It also charges the iPod but doesn't control it.

If you want headunit controls, you will either have to use the front USB port or find a different headunit.

I was afraid of that. Guess I'll have to suck it up and use the front usb port, unless I find another HU with a direct plug in in the back

I realize THIS is another $50 more than the other two you have, but I'm pretty sure the USB port is on the back (has a pigtail).

I'm reading a little more on it right now to see about iPod control. Pretty sure it can.

It can. My last Pioneer was like that, which is why I'm looking for that. I actually looked at that one
