Is a power liftgate possible on a GMT800 SUV?

I think the barn doors look dated. They look too much like the GMT400 suv's :dunno:
Not to mention, the practicality issue I already discussed.

I like the barn doors least. That huge hatch looks sweet.

:D

That's always been the ugliest part of the GMT800 line to me.

The huge hatch or the split door, or either?

The ONLY thing good about the barn doors is that they have no lift shocks to wear out.
But replacing those is a snap!

If you changed the lift shocks with some linear actuators wouldnt that give you the desired power lift gate?:dunno:

He'd have to figure something out to release the latch though or it won't matter.

Use electric door poppers attatched to the lock mechanism to release latch. This can be done with switches or by a key fob in the same manner as a vehicle with shaved door handles. Then once latch is released kick in the actuators and VOILA!
