You should be able to exchange it without a receipt as long as they carry both in identical containers. Tell them you had your wife pick it up and she tossed the receipt but bought the wrong stuff.

Trying to return it for cash without the receipt would be a problem, exchanging it should be fine.

Your method worked like a charm! I went this morning to swap it out, got home and got the oil changed right away.

I also got my Airaid MIT installed just after the oil change, I got a smokin deal on it and couldn't be happier with the buy.

As the TMC oil guru, everyone pretty much covered. No need for me to chime in. Doesn't help that I'm a few days late.

Running 10w-30 over 5w-30 isn't any different other than like stated before. It comes into play when you start your vehicle up in cold weather. The 5w flows faster and protects better in cold climates so less wear on start up and less wear on the battery and starter. Now if you want to really get some protection you can go to 0w-30.

Just dont confuse 0W-30 with straight 30W. They are not the same.

No, you want to see thin, you should see the 5w-20 I'm running in our 08 Acadia. Now that is thin.
