says Megan Robison, who now owns a Honda Civic. "I had a Cavalier and I just wanted something more reliable." Next time she's in the market for a car, she says, she'll most likely get another Honda.

Can GM win customers Back with the Cruze?

In past years, GM was fairly content to let the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic duke it out, while it sold poorly reviewed compacts at deep discounts. That's no longer the case for the new, leaner, post-bankruptcy GM. The Cruze is supposed to be its white knight.

Judging chevy by the cav is as smart as judging ford by the escort or dodge by the reliant K!!

The Cruze looks to be a nice entry back into the compact market. Although I'm personally not crazy about the name, I'm sure some 20 somethings out there will indeed like this car. I wouldn't get my hopes up though that Chevy is simply going to come out the box and knock this thing over the fence. Civic and Corolla owners are SET in their ways about their cars. All the people I know that own Corollas only trade them in after they've decided 250K+ pretty much care free miles was enough for them only to trade them in on a brand new Corolla! Hate em or love em, Toyota and Honda have winners with their car lines! I would however like to see Chevrolet be successful with this new vehicle. It's not a bad looking car at all and with some tuning here and there it could possibly "rice" it up with the Civic. Something the Focus just never really could do.

Will the Cruze be offered in 2 door as well? :dunno: EDIT: scratch that, I just read there would be NO 2 doors. Score: Honda - 1 Chevrolet - 0

What are they going to do with the Cobalt? I always liked that car. I though it was supposed to take the place of the Cavalier.

When will Dodge finally wake up and have a small, cheap entry-level car again? They haven't had one since they dropped the Neon back in '04 or '05.
