I had a 6.2 in an 89 GMC 2500, and it was SLOW, but once it got rolling, it would just cruise along all day. It got pretty good mileage, around 22-23 unloaded.

this is one of my family member's 6.2 L suburban diesel. I belive it is a 82? it has spent its whole life in michigan, it was never driven unless it was across the farm to the lake, or a hundred miles or more. all original, it has 190,000 on it. they bought it new. just thought it was a neat machine!

It says that the GM350 diesel was based on the olds 350 and the 6.2 was a one off detroit diesel

My dad's 81 Silverado had the 350 diesel in it. In fact, my mom's 80 Impala wagon did too!

How did those engines hold up??? Those early Oldsmobile engines, including the the 5.7 L LF9, were notoriously unreliable...
