6.2L Diesel?

My dad's 81 Silverado had the 350 diesel in it. In fact, my mom's 80 Impala wagon did too!

How did those engines hold up??? Those early Oldsmobile engines, including the the 5.7 L LF9, were notoriously unreliable...

Well they traded the wagon with close to 200k on it, with no problems.

The truck . . . it had transmission problems for years. My dad finally decided to get it fixed. He and I were literally driving it to the shop for a new transmission when it blew the head gasket. He decided it was too much money at that point.
