I have a high revving Ranger, what could it be?

There are so many damaned sensors on this truck. I am thinking I should replace it with a nice older one.

By the way, I was wrong. It is idling at 3000 RPM.

Is it surging or staying at 3000rpms?

It is the IAC.

I had this issue with my son's '95 3.0

This. I had a '95 Explorer but it had the 4.0.

They really aren't that bad I picked up my new IAC for like $20 on Ebay, and it is right on the intake/ throttle body. You cannot miss it.

I think it might be under the air box but I believe this is a 4.0 engine...

I have been looking at Rock Auto stuff and caanot beleive how good the prices are. I priced out all the stuff I need for thr front end of this ranger and it was $300 less than the parts store.

Was that before or after shipping? A lot of the time after shipping its cost about the same as it would from the parts store.

Also if you get it from a parts store you have a place to get warrenty incase you have a problem.

My truck was down for a few days waiting on a rep lament fuel pump from them cuz. Had to send the old one back first.
