Bumper height is a different law from tire laws.

But yeah, good luck getting your bumper under the limit with those babies

At least you aren't going with the usual Monsters. I too am getting sick of seeing them on every truck online.

I lost 1.5mpg on my average, and 3.60mpg highway with my 20" wheels and 33" Toyo's.

Go with the Nitto Terra Grapplers, awesome A/T. When I get a set of FX4 wheels ( possilby yours? ) If they are low on tread I may wrap them in the Terra Grap A/Ts or Coopers. Highly doubt BFG but in 285/65/18 it is possible. Problem is, BFG A/T KOs are an awesome tire, but they look hideous on any aftermarket wheel, only look best on stock wheels, no matter what truck. Expecially FX4 wheels, and Z71 wheels.

3.) Where is a good place to get wheels & tires? I can't find consistent prices really been going by this site RIMZONE

Exactly there. Great deals, good shipment, careful shipment and great transaction. Its oddly called RimzOneOnline, should be called RimZoneOnline imo.

Good info Darren! I am going to be selling my wheels very soon. I have my buddy's king ranch wheels that are just sitting in his garage he wants me to get rid of. They have pirelli tires on them though  They have more tread left than my rugged trails though

Edit: What size Terra Grapplers would be closest to 33x12.5?? I don't know crap about the 285, 295, 305 sizes :loser:

Cool dude. Going to paint them? Gold KR will look funny on there. Still going to sell the wheels & tires? Willing to ship? Tell me when around the time you plan to & we can crunch numbers. I want FX4 18"s for highway driving & probably this winter. I'll wrap BFGs on when I get the coin but I want to get stock 18s so I can waste off my remaining 17s and sell the wheels.

You will love those Pirelli's on highway. Thats all you will love them for though.
Put them on when you wanna go driving like a stunt guy, they drift really well.

285/65 would be about a 32.6x11.50 or so. 295/70 would be a good size to go with but it looks overly stuffed imo.

Well I talked to AZFX4 and he says he has the 295s and he had to do some minor trimming so :dunno: I may go with those or I may go with the 285s

Thoughts? I am going with this combo now I think:dunno: Any idea on the tread life of these tires?

He still hasn't registered here yet? wtf, I told him to come over once in a PM.

The new Trail Grapplers are too new of a tire to have longetivity reviews out so far. But they are every bit as good as their predecessor/original brother the Toyo M/T. Toyo's hooks look better, Nitto's sidewalls look slightly better, a bit over done imo on the Trail Graps, but 295/70/20 will be my next tire in a Trail Grap which is a 34x11.50 tire. Higher wall, thinner width, happy mpg over 12.5 wide tires.

Darren I will definitely give you first dibs on these wheels as soon as I hear back from the guy that wanted them last year. I think I want to go with the 295s but I am interested to see how much the 5100s level me out :dunno:

I am liking the price factor of these too

Your front fenders will sit at 39.5" high vs the stock 37.5 or so, it is an exact 2" lift, for me it was at least. Not sure if the extra cabin weight of the Supercrew would have any height effect or not. Measure your fender from ground to top fender of the well and see where you sit at, on level ground of coarse.

You are better off with that size too, my 12.5" wide Toyo's rub the lower A-arms while reversing at full lock. Nothing major but I can feel the minor vibration in the cab. 12" wide max would be best. Plus you might have a better distance from the tire to the upper a-arm, mine is under 1/4" away from rubbing it with 5.71" BS wheels.

Yeah I measured my front suspension and it is right at 37.5" too, so we will see Tuesday afternoon where I'm sitting. So you think I'll need to do any trimming with the 295s ?
