Just a heads up. I have a 2010 and added it, but I never found the smaller connector. My truck didnt have it (SLT) so I ended up adding it. I needed the power source (12V in run position) and then the pair from the CAN BUS C. I tied into the CAN circuits, added my power in run position and just used small blade connectors to put on the pins. The large connector was there. Its in, works fine, but would like to find or locate the small connectors to splice into by blade connectors to make it more permanent. This should be doable on 09 1500 models also. Some of those will also have and others wont have the smaller 4 pin gray connector.

Was able to actually buy just the connector with wire pigtails installed from Mopar itself.
Part number is 68499239AA, bought it from
MoparPartsOverstock

I realize some just run it without the EVIC software update, I think this limits your ability to pick trailer size. Seems my braking is very aggressive with the controller as is.
