But I remember back when I first got my license it was about $.99 per gal

I remember when it hit a buck, and 93 leaded was getting hard to find for my Mustang.

When I started driving it was 85 cents

In 58 when I got my license... it was around 23 to 25 cents a gallon...
You could put a couple of bucks of gas in the car and go ride around for hours...
Now a couple of bucks only gets you about a half gallon...

I remember gas at .25 cents a gallon back in the days when stations had gas wars. I think it was somewhere around .50 cents a gallon when I got my license.
