Help me pick a muffler for my Hemi! *UPDATE Post 89*

Wait explain to me why you have a y pipe and a SI/DO muffler

I may be wrong because I was trying to explain this to my muffler shop over the phone today and he didn't understand either. But I was under the impression that the headers go through the cats then come to a Y pipe then into the single side of the muffler then out the dual side of the muffler?

x2. OEM Y pipes on Dodges and Fords are so restrictive on the left bank joint. Replacing them with say a Magnaflow 100% smooth transition pipe is much better, as long as your replacement pipe for the 90 degree bend for the left bank is mandrel!

So I am thinking right and didn't order that for nothing, correct?

No not at all. I will be doing the exact same with my truck. The more smoother flow up close to the engine the faster it exhales. If I can find the link to the inteiror of the dodge OEM Y pipe on the Hemis I will post it. Its not much better than Ford's on the '97 - '08 Y pipes.
