Just make sure its really what YOU want to do, nothing should be overlooked imo.

If you can talk your dad into being a little more patient and continue looking for trucks, patience will pay off. But if you want to re-build yours and make it a project, then DO IT.

well said no lower than 14k which is terrible
Wow, you gotta be able to flex $1k when you get up that high! (the seller that is)

What's this guy think? He's gonna get bluebook on it? :nonod:

Book retail exists for clean one owner well cared for vehicles. People get retail all the time for nice vehicles.

That's just life.

You just got to be a little patient. You can politely keep checking with the guy. I would let 30 days slide by and talk to him again. It may take as long as 3 monhts. If its still for sale I say he folds...

If you're gonna get your truck back, do it now and save all the storage fees!!

And if you're rebuilding it, DON'T CUT CORNERS!!! Do it right. Take your time. If possible, use OEM parts. From what little experience I have with cheap aftermarket parts, they are exactly that and nothing more. Search junkyards and Craig's List and also be willing to drive to get the parts you need. Clean parts are probably a little easier to find where you are (up here they are a PITA!).

Best of luck to you and I hope everything turns out for the better!
