I say just rebuild your old one. Clearly, that's what you'd prefer to do.

Thats not necessarily true. i just cant find something to replace it with.

I cant stand cloth seats and every deal i find the damn thing has cloth seat. My buddy's dad has an 05 cc lt silverado for sale for 13k but i just cant see myself in a burgundy truck

Unfortunately, there are no used truck factories.

You are generally going to have to deal a little bit with a few things you don't like if you have to stay within a tight budget or a compressed timeline.

If it were me, I'd consider everything up to around 16K. The difference in payments is not going to be that much and you'll be able to open up your choices quite a bit.

Price on that black OBS is about double what I'd be willing to go on it. I'm with daddy, even if you can't spend any more you should look at trucks that are up to 15 or 16k. 15 is a nice round number when listing something for sale, you could probably still talk them down to 13ish but hitting that magic number of 15 will about double the number of decent looking vehicles for sale.

Edit: Who gave you the estimate for 8k to fix it with brand new parts? I dented 1 panel on the bed of my truck and came to 3k. Unless you're planning on doing 90% of the labor on your own I don't see that coming in at 8k unless your shops are way cheaper down there or they're not actually using new parts.
