Just as an update, the Camry needed this done again recently. I'd estimate every 1-2 years this would need done once.

The only way to prevent this completely is to either:
1. Buy new headlights.
2. Put on clear coat after doing this. Definitely something higher quality than spray-can clear. Roll-on is much easier to apply and put on evenly. Preferably use some with some form of UV-protectant.



Once every 1.5 years isn't too bad, though, to save $100+ for new headlight housings.

I'm going to get Clearmask for the Acadia. Since it is new this should help keep the headlights looking good. Not to bad on the price. I also thought about it for the rear view mirrors.

Again great write-up Matt, I just did a friends 99 Honda Accord, they were a mess, super yellow. Turned out great.
