Went buy the shop to see what is up with my truck.

I see the stock manifolds was warped on the back cyl and that is where the leak was. I will give the stuff to ford

They have the old 3" exhaust from the cat back sitting on the floor

they have the left header installed

the right header was up in place and being tightened down.
they had to remove the lower motor mt nuts and raise the motor, also had to remove the starter. they also pulled all the right manifold studs to make the neccesary space to get the header in place. they were tightening up the right header when I left.

I have had some that lasted. but the thorleys I ran on my Gmc cracked about every 3 months thorley wty them three times

I am paying for the three year - 36,000 mile wty just in case.
the headers were 400. and they cut down the labor to 4 hrs.
so I bought the wty.

the whole thing was $5 more than another est with no wty. I think Mica did me good!

both shops offered me the headers at 400. but one wanted 700 labor and shippings and tax was 1195

I got them installed for 1200 including the 3/36 wty that means I can crack the headers for three years and not pay :dunno:

the magnaflow stainless Kit with dual side tips was 500 installed

that was cheaper than the Bullet I had done. and only the muffler was stainless

thats a pretty good deal, i honestly dont see a point in changing the stock headers haha

hopefully my true duals come out just as good as your new exhaust does

My right manifold warped!!!

The guy at the shop said they sound deep and throaty
He said they sound real good. a nice combo.

Of course I din't hear them. :dunno: the truck was cooling down.

they said after the initial warm up they cool the truck down undo the right mount and jack up the right side so they can re-torque the headers. I wonder if they pull the starter again too?

they can't get to the two nuts (center - lower) without removing the eng mount.
to me... that is doing the job right!

my headers made a huge difference, that will duals ran all the way out. All these mods support themselves.....

Since I've had a tune (and not no mail order one-we are forever pulling timing and changing things) and CAI, headers and exhaust, efans, p & p'ed throttle body, and cleaning out the entire intake system and changing out the knock sensors, this thing is like a whole new truck. bigger mods to come, but really I'm happy with the way its running right now.

Here are more pics, The exhaust is quieter than before.

It sound more throaty off idle but not as loud in the higher rpms. but I will see in a couple of miles. it will change.
