Hardwired Radar Detectors

Y'all with Radar Detectors. Do you guys have the annoying spiral cord or have you guys hardwired them. Via the invisicord or other brand.

I have a Passport X50 (blue) I hate having the cord hang down onto the dash and over my HU. I want to possibly do the invisicord, because it plugs into the auto dimming rearview mirror.

Any Thoughts ?

When I had one I just had the cord going to the cig lighter.

I run mine down into the dash and out a cig lighter, although I will be hardwiring it in the future. You can only see about 1.5" of wire.

Mine is wired via the invisacord. It works great and the detector is right up next to the rear view mirror.

I just have the spiral cord. It's hangin up by the mirror so it goes all the way down to the plug. Clears all the buttons on the radio and doesn't really bother me, so I see no need to change.

So you like the invisicord? I might consider getting one of those. They are like $25 I think. How hard was it to install ?

Yeah I know every time I travel north as soon as I get close to the border I put it in my Glovebox. Not taking a chance. I hear the fines are $$$
