Man, what a night, I was on my way home from work, on high alert, because its 10:30 at night, and the crazies are out and about. I was stopped at a light, saw a set of triple light come up behind me, could tell it was motorcycle. Light turns green, we all take off, I pass the car to my right, get over in the right lane, and this guy on a Harley goes by me like I'm parked, grabbing gears, and he's all hunkered down down like a cafe racer, he goes around a slight bend in the road, and just out of my sight. I get around the bend, and I'm thinking, where the hell did he go!!!
Well, with all the brakes lights coming on, and everyone hitting their flashers, I slow down, and sure enough, he went down...

He was using the center turning lane to pass a car in the left lane, and found that the there was a divider, in the turning lane guarding a cross walk, he hit the divider, at about 100 mph, tossed him in the air and him, Harley, came to rest, about 290' down the road, the bike slid for a block and a quarter, up on the side walk, and came to rest at the front door of a Bar, and he was in the fetal position, at the side of the highway, up against the curb....I thought he was dead!!! Then he moved his arm, and started moaning.
I'm no Doctor, but I'm pretty sure he will survive, the ambulance showed up, the got him stable, and loaded him up... from what I could tell, possible broken jaw, several teeth on the right side of his jaw broken, cause he was spitting them out, and possible broken skull...but still alive!!!

(side note, the rider was drunk!!! Strong smell of alcohol)

Yeah, me too! I actually measured the point of impact, to where he stopped sliding, using google map, and their scale, he actually slid 350'....I thought I was looking at a dead man when I first got there!!

Just outside of Portland Or., we were on highway 30, heading west, going through a small industrial area called Linnton, he was running about 125 mph in a 35 mph zone...:fume:

Oh yeah, I have run that to Astoria, and then the back way through the hills back to Eugene. I do not recommend that stretch on a bike
