GM to Recall 303,000 Trucks

Typical sort of thing for a new launch. Sucks, but they'll solve it and move on.
Gotta love recall threads at the brand-specific sites.
At GMI, when Ford had their recall for fires, there were 3-4 pages of Ford bashing within hours of the thread being posted. Now there is a thread for this one and they are praising GM for calling this recall in a timely fashion.
Great entertainment for sure.

Not unexpected for a new vehicle and engines. There's bound to be things like this pop up for any automaker.
Depends on which Ford fires. The huge one for cruise control modules was an astronomical amount of vehicles but only one recall whereas the amount of different fire recalls related to the 1.6 Ecoboost is ridiculous at this point and should warrant them some criticism.

I'm "nobody" to Rob...
I heard the fires only start after people take off the fairing under the front bumper. They redesigned the 2014's to prevent them from flipping after such a mod, but didn't take into account the extra heat from loss of airflow through the upper grill.
