They won't all have the chrome grill. You will be able to get a colormatched one.

And it'll be mounted to a much better truck than GM could ever dream of building.

I am done with GM's crap.

I was just messing around. I don't love the new Ford's styling but I have no undying loyalty for GM either. The Ram is the best looking truck out there right now, especially the HD's. I hope they don't **** that up.

I agree the Ram is by far the best looking truck right now, and is even better looking than the new 2015 F150. And I am not a huge fan of TTV6's either, even though I realize they are very capable in a 1/2 ton.

Right now if I were buying a new truck, it likely would be a Ram. But when the new F150 comes out, I will be looking at it very closely.

I do think the 2015 F150 is going to be a better built truck than either Ram or GM. But I guess that remains to be seen.

Well this dude came back as a whiner...

We know its you, Jaz... :jester:

yep, I believe my whining is warranted.

My 2007 made monthly trips to the dealer for it's first 2 years...some minor and some fairly major issues. Then, about year 3, with still under 40K miles, the cheap Chinese brake rotors needed replacing. then about another year or 2 later, with still under 50K miles, I had to replace all 4 ball joints.

The truck now has about 52K miles, and it squeaks and squeals like a 15 year old truck with 200K miles on it.

It's a POS.

A friend of mine bought a 2014 RAM brand new, and he's been in the dealership literally every month this year. Some recalls, some trivial stuff, and some fairly major repairs.

I think the RAM's are nice trucks, and I'm looking hard at them for my next one. But they're still a Dodge deep down inside

I think you got a lemon...though if I'd had those problems I'd probably swear off GM too. Though I don't think they made one 900 that has an interior attached together tightly or doors that don't shake when closed causing rubbing noises. My Tahoe isn't bad but it's nowhere near as tight at 20k as the Jeep was at 50k.

Actually, the interior of my truck is the best part of it. It's still completely intact.

Though last winter after driving (a bit "enthusiastically" I might add...lol) to work in a snowstorm. I had a very severe dash squeak. But it went away the next day. :dunno:

My leaf springs squeak like crazy...I can be stopped at a light and if I let off the brake and re-apply it the leaf springs squeak. I also have a sqeal coming from the engine bay now too...sounds like a bearing in one of my belt driven accessories going bad.

Oh, and my PS lines are leaking too.

It doesn't help that I hate the looks of the new GM K2XX trucks. Square wheels wells? And those cheap-whore-looking LEDs around the headlights of the Sierra? :puke:

At least he looks good driving it there.

This is why, even though I love the looks of the Ram, I think the 2015 F150 will be atop my list of next trucks. Not saying they will be flawless, but I am hugely disappointed in my GMC and after declining satisfaction over my last 3 GMC's, It's time to give the Blue Oval a try.

Love my Vette though.

My wife's '14 Sierra has already had 3 recalls and has now been in 3 times for the airbag light coming on. They keep saying it is a connector under the seat, but they can't seem to get it fixed for more than a week at a time. The doors rattle worse than a GMT400 on washboard roads, the interior squeaks and rattles all over, and it rides worse than my Ram by a long shot...even though the Ram is 4wd with the heavier LT 8 ply tires on it. My Ram's doors don't rattle, the interior doesn't squeak, and I haven't had any warranty work yet (although it is going in tomorrow because the HVAC defaults to Recirculate every time the truck is shut off and restarted).

Honestly, we are going to give them one more shot at the airbag light, and if they can't get it fixed (seeing how that is a pretty major safety system) we will probably try to lemon law the Sierra. I don't know exactly how that works, but I guess we might find out. :dunno:

No, there's no excuse for whining and here's why.

1. Your problems seem pretty miniscule compared to "real" nightmare problems others have had with Ford, Dodge and even Chevy. I would hope that at least part of your problems were under warranty, :dunno:

I have a buddy that owns a concrete business, he had the same truck as you year, model and engine but his was white. His had 320k miles before he handed it to his son. It was never in the shop once except for routine maintenance. It had a lot of highway miles. He replaced it with a 2010 model that had 240k before he handed it down to the fleet. It was never in the shop either. He now has a 2014 but onto the next point.

2. Luck of the draw. Every auto maker has problems with a percentage of their vehicles. I've been around a lot of fleets and it seems on average that Ford and Dodge have a higher percentage of lemons. This percentage might change now with a new model Chevy getting to replace older trucks in the fleets around here.

3. You're a grown man, if you don't like what you have replace it with what you want! Whining gets annoying when you see it in every thread or at least 5-6 posts. If I don't like something, replace it with what will fulfill your needs.

That being said, I think your next truck will treat you well. Whether it be a Ford, Dodge or Chevy.

In reality, if you think GM is crap... I'd hate to see what you would call a Ford or Dodge if they were problematic for you.

You should be eligible for a buy back but I do believe those buy backs only benefit you towards a new GM.

Sorry.
