4:11s should make a big difference in low end grunt

...AND at the gas pump.

I expect to loose some, but I'm not doing so hot around town anyhow, I think it will balance out just because it's hilly around here and I don't stay in OD very often anyhow.

Any calculators to show the difference in RPM's out there?

YOu might lose a mile or two per gallon but the enhanced drivability will make up for it. It won't make a huge difference.

When I went from the KM2's and up a size to the Toyo's i lost about a mile a gallon. I get about 14 average know, I feel like it will be about the same, but with more power :jester:

Give and take, gain some here and lose some there.I really don't worry about fuel mileage,I know it's going to be bad but that's a price I pay for having the towing & off-road capability of my burb.

BTW....love my KM2s

I agree, I am more worried about capability than anything else. I plan on keeping this truck for a long time, so I will make it like I want.

I liked the KM2's, they got a little wild on the road though, I wanted to go up a size and toyo had the size I wanted. So I've got about 20k on the toyo's and I must say they are an excellent tire

So far the KM2s a working good for me,pretty good off-road and pretty good when towing my toy hauler....but every vehicle is different :dunno: I'll consider the Toyos when the KM2s wear out.Just to let you know I'm running 4:56 gears with 305/70R/16 tires.the engine runs about 2500 rpm in o/d & 3000 in third. The 454 loves gas :(

I'm sure you have quite a bit of torque with that setup! I think my KM2'2 wore pretty well, but could have done a little better, my upper ball joints were completely shot when I put my new struts on. I'm sure that had something to do with it.

Bad ball joints can reak havoc with tires :( Luckily mine are all good and the tires are all wearing even & equal.I have about 25 thou on 'em now and are a little past half tread depth, might get another 15-20 out of 'em :dunno:

Gotta go outside and see what I can get into, nice chatting with ya

Depending on your how fast you drive, your not gonna lose mpg. If you do alot of interstate driving then I could see it but your city mpg should increase. Gears are a great mod when you match them with your driving.

I'm on the interstate, but the speed limit is 55 and I'm not on it for long. So I think I'll be good!

I got 50k out of mine and I took them off and sold them to a guy, I suspect he was going to get 10k more out of them. They ball joints weren't doing too much damage, but I'm replacing the lowers because I just did the uppers, and I'm at 170k, I'm sure that they're done with big tires
