Whats up guys, i need some help from someone knowledgeable about drive shafts/transfer case's.

(i drive a dodge ram 1500 4wd)

recently my truck has started making this horrible squealing sound and 4wd knob on the floor has been vibrating allot.

the Transmission shop pulled this part out and said its the "Drive Shaft Yoke"
and it can only be purchased with the whole drive shaft assembly for $350

i searched drive shaft yokes online and they look nothing like this.

Does anyone know what this part is? what the correct name is, or where i could find a replacement?

Thanks

Looks like a bolt on slip yoke to me.

Knowing how must manufacturers do driveshafts, especially fronts, you have to buy the whole thing from them, you may be able to get from a yard, but again you`d probly get the whole deal. :nonod:

do you think that is something i could get from a salvage yard?
I'd sure try it. Might end up buying the whole thing there too but it'll be much cheaper.
