I've kicked the idea around of possibly doing it when I get a lot of extra $$$ and maybe throwing in a Diesel it would be a 7.3 or sorry to say but possibly a Cummins

Just wondering how many out there have done the gas to diesel conversion?

Did u do it yourself and how long did it take?

What shop did it, where are they located and how long did it take?

What was needed?

What was the total cost?

What motor did u go with and why??

It would be less expensive to just trade up to the truck you want, unless you did it all yourself, and acquired the engine, mounts, cooling system, exhaust, trans adaptation, fuel system including tank senders, gauges, wiring harnesses, etc for a great price.

BUT, look at www.destroked.com

oddly enough, for $4000 you can make more power with a 6.0 but the Cummins is a great engine.

this is a start, not exactly what you will need totally

The Cummins seems to be a more cost-effective option due to reliability and replacements availability, altough the 7.3 is easier to throw into the F250.

So, we never get follow-ups from you on these threads you start. Did you change your mind on this one?

Maybe he's already looking for another truck already fitted with the 7.3 instead of doing the hard work by himself...
