For 99% of users there will be no notable difference between the 3 engines. Very few people will ever haul enough to know the difference between 765 ft-lbs and 800 ft-lbs. I still like the cummins even if it doesn't have the power numbers there's a certain comfort factor to an I6 vs a V8 in a diesel.

Give dodge a year or two, I imagine the power figures will be increasing a bit and they are working on a 7 speed to put behind the cummins, that will put them right back in the running.

7 speed? Where did you hear that?

it was a pipe dream that was stated in a magazine a month ago, or at least that is all i have heard about it.

It was more than a month ago, closer to 6 months ago but it does appear to be a pipe dream. Now that they are making an 8 speed for cars I don't see them stepping back to a 7 for trucks ever. Haven't really been keeping up on all the new thoughts that get thrown around.

I heard from dodge engineers that they were workin on a 6 speed for the rams. The same 6 in the charger just stronger. I havnt heard anything new comin for the deisels
