Shanin, how did you create your website? I think it's a neat idea and I'd like to make something similar

Excellent write up. I had to end up using the individual threads when I did mine, and I found a seized caliper on the front left.

I appreaciate the write-up. I had to replace the hubs so I went ahead and got the breaks done. Cost a small fortune in parts, but I imagine I saved a bit in labor.

One question though. My 04 FX4 F150 did not have the little wire springs on the pads when I took it apart. I also noticed a little instruction sheet in with the pads with two drawings. The drawing closest to mine said not to instal them. I went ahead and put them on since I can't find another example where someone chose not to put them on, but I did make it at least 120K on the old set-up. So does anybody have any idea if they really do help?

Thanks!

Shanin, thanks again for posting this! Almost 6 years since you orginially posted it & I've referenced it twice!

I just installed new rotors and pads from Brake Performance that I got while they were having a sale last month. Most shops wanted to install them for $250+ & I did it in roughly 2.5hrs (with a few  breaks in between :D)

Very informative and very helpful. I sent this to two of my buddies that are looking to do the same.
