Finally!

My dad finally broke down and bought himself a diesel. Is an '04 Crew Cab Chevy 2500 with about 75000 miles. I've been telling him for years to get one since he does so much heavy hauling, but he never has. Then last year they bought a 5th wheel, and his '08 gasser 2500 just doesn't pull it as well as he would like.

He hauled about 3 tons of metal with it and was pretty impressed. It got about 15 mpg at around 73 mph. His other truck would have gotten 7 mpg...

Now if I can just convince him to tune it.

Oh, and no pics cause I haven't seen it yet. They might take it to San Antonio over thanksgiving if they bring their trailer, so maybe then I'll get some for yall.

sweet i recommend the tune! my buddies dad has an 05 durry, he was only getting 17mpgs and was dissapointed, got it tuned and it gets 25mpg!

Yeah, I told him his mileage would improve, as would the power. He also test drove an 08, really liked it, but didn't want to pay that much for it. He got this one for around $20k, so about half as expensive as a new one.

Oh, I doubt he will get one, at least not any time soon. He's kinda busy right now. It would be February before he would have time to think about it.

I can't do it for him, cause I would have to drive up to Dalhart (~700 miles), pick it up, drive to Dallas (~470 miles), and then back to Dalhart. And all this would have to happen the day after I got done with my finals.

He'd get close to the same mileage as his gasser with an '08 unless he ditched the factory exhaust...
