Ok guys firsst let me say I am NOT a body man.
Now for my problem. I have a 96 chevy ECSB 4X4, I just went and washed it for the first time since deer season ( i know i know i should have washed it alot sooner. IAfter washing it I have noticed a few rust spots that have devloped and wondering how to go about fixing these.

The first one was already there it just got bigger I am probably just gonna put a new fender on for that side.

The second one is the fender on the other side. I will try to take some pictures for you to look at.

The third that I noticed is on the DS bedside around the wheel well it is starting to bubble thru just like the fender.

What would be the best way to fix these concerns?

Got any pics of the rust spots. I'd sand down the spots with coarse grade sandpaper so the surface is even. Then spray with primer then spray with color etc.

First, I would sand the rusted areas with 36 grit sand paper to get rid of the rust. After, I would go to 80 grit. Once all of the rust is gone, as long as you are not through the metal, get some primer. You can get this at a automotive paint supply store, you want the automotive stuff that comes in a spray can (not krylon etc.). You can spray this on in layers, coat in medium layers for 2 coats, let dry (overnight) and sand with 400 grit. You are looking to raise the low spots to the same level as the original paint. Before you start priming, you want to make sure, all the rust is gone. Once you are sure the primer is fully dry, recoat. Unless you are going to paint the truck, this should hold up for a while. If the rust goes all the way through the metal, you will need to weld in patch panels or replace sheet metal all around.

I'd say that right side fender just needs a new one in its place, but the rest look very easily fixable... plus you could spot in that white and not be noticeable at all.

I'm no expert by any means but that passenger side one looks pretty bad, may need to look for a new fender. The driver side looks manageable.
