It (8.1L)was rated at 345HP and 460/470Ftlbs torque from the factory. I believe it is rated so low to meet emissions laws( don't have those here) but that seems like a realistic loss through the drivetrain.

Hopefully nobody beats me to it!Old big-blocks were cool, but since GM can get a larger profit with the LS (a.k.a. retard on Viagra) and it's actually some good cost-effectiveness it's not so bad...
