Just because of low oil pressure, you wouldnt unless it's obvious the heads are fucked and you would know it. You have an chatter in the heads? Change the valves, springs, lifters and maybe the rocker arms with some good aftermarket parts. Cams aren't that expensive for 350's. I'd replace it with a better one.

Low oil pressure is usually the pump, sending unit, clogged ports, or a problem with the bottom end. (crankshaft)

Or if a rocker arm falls off and the oil won't drain through the ports as fast as its blown through the lifter.

Someone offered me a 350 thats a 010 block with flat top pistons low miles. Wanted to know what I'd give him for it. Dont know if he rebuilt it or someone else.

Here's what said about it.
It had metal in the pan and the rods arnt bad. Mains had some wear from the metal. Car has about 3000 miles reground crank. No knocks or anything so i believe thats what it was. Did a cam swap prior to the low oil pressure prob it had
