she's decided not to get the diesel. she knows what she wants, we are just trying to find the truck. CC/5.5' bed, ecoboost, navigation, luxury package, in black or sterling grey

That's great  Can't wait to see it!

I wouldn't get a black truck, it would spend a little more fuel in the summer due to the harder work for the air conditioner...

Sorry but.....

I'm not a fan of black either, but not cause I am worried about the gas it takes to run the A/C. They look great when they are clean, but in my area that lasts maybe 5 minutes before it is dusty again. Shows scratches like a mofo too! AND they are hot as hell and the A/C has to work lots harder to cool it off. I'll stick to light colors here.

Great choice on the truck though, you will have to keep us all posted on the EcoBoost once you get it and put it through the paces.

Just got called from the dealer. Picking up the new truck in the morning.
2011 F-150 FX4, Ecoboost, 3.73's with the E-locker, 5.5 foot bed, Tuxedo Black, Leather Captains Chairs, heated seats, memory seats/pedals/mirrors, navi, sun roof, 20's, running boards, power slider, remote start, trailer brake. the only missing options are tailgate step and bed steps.

What gas mileage them ecoboost get?
rated at 15/21, the few we drove were knocking down 21-22, dealer's truck is getting 20.5 with 400 miles on it.

We live in the city, so shit stays pretty clean, plus the Tuxedo Black isnt just "black" and these are a few other rigs at my house... whats wrong with black?

I like my black truck. The air conditioning works fine and it dosnt take any longer than your truck to get cool inside.
