So the ECM is now secured in the truck.

I think its programmed for 3.42 gears since when the speedo says 40 I'm doing 42 (according to GPS) and the RPM's at 35mph don't match what they use to be. I'm gonna double check to be sure by driving a 60.

I'll probably leave it in the truck for at least the weekend and see what it does.

At 100km/h 3.42s should be about 2000 RPM... 62MPH
I think my tach is a off by 100 to 200 because 60mph use to be 2000rpm (before changing the ECM).

I haven't driven it at 60 yet. I'll be doing that in a couple hours on the way to work.

There's actually a 7.5" 3.42 axle in my town on Caigs List right now for $50, but if I'm not keeping the truck, I'm not buying it.

Just got to work. 60mph indicated on the speedo is 63mph on the GPS. Its programmed for 3.42's.

It seemed better, but once or twice when I shifted at 2500, the RPMs stayed there :dunno:.

Oh, and that figures on the axle now being available too .
