Jim has been using them in his bike tires for a while now and he said that the ride is smoother and tire wear is more even. I guess the balance as needed throughout the tire instead of just on spot on the rim. As expensive as tires are, it would be worth running them for a bit just to see. I'm not going to order any just yet until we get our friends opinion on how his truck is doing.

It's $25 for 4 tires that includes the bottle with tube, beads, valve core extractor/installer, and the new valve cores(must have so beads don't get lodged in old style). It's only an ounce or so depending on the tire size. centrifugal force allows the beads to distribute to the "low" spots and level the tire.

I know motorcycle riders seem to like em. I only know of one person that tried them in a car. He went back to traditional balancing after a pretty short time.

Interesting. I wonder if there is a way to keep them when ever you change over to new tires or if you just have to get a new set of beads?

when i worked at co-op we put a lot of they in semi truck tires. i know they liked them. just a little bit of a pain when they got flats. had to scoop it out to repair tire. we just put it in a cup and put it back in when repair was done.
