The shorter the louder......I had an 18" on one of my other trucks and it was a good combo of loud when you got on it and no resonating on the highway. That is one thing you can run into with a loud muffler is the resonating....

Carolinaboy, one of our other Moderators has a pretty sweet setup on his Ford.

I am surprised more Ford guys haven't chimed in about Magnapacks

Shoulda put F-150 in the thread title :D2

I can change that if you want me to.

I think you'll need an x pipe with the Magnaflow. Dynomax ultra-flo x muffler has a built in x pipe.

Penguin, that would be nice if you could add F150 to the title. I really appreciate everyone's help on this question. I have been trying to figure out this stuff on my own for the last couple of months and when I came across this site I got excited. My dealings with forums on other sites have been lack luster. You get your head bitten off for asking what they call a "dumb" question. XDA Developers just about ruined me on asking questions. Sometimes people just don't realize with work and 3 kids you just don't have time to read through hundreds of threads a day just to find the answers you're looking for. Again a big thanks to all who have replied.

Exhaust is hard to figure out to what you want. I don't find that exhaust clips or vids help all that much. You can't grasp the rel sound and feel that you are after. I just pulled the trigger on a Magnaflow cat back 2 to 1. I havnt put it on yet.I'm going for performance, not sound. I hope I made the right choice as its too expensive to change over and over and it's time consuming.

Best bet is to use you best judgement from the advice, and if possible, find someone in person that has a set up. Even if you have to ask the guy in a parking lot what he has an how he likes it.

Myself and others on this site are glad to help in any way. We don't flame, unless you find some wheels in the trash and ask what they fit.
