Texas Jim
Texas..It's a Whole 'nuther Country
My friend in Dallas that owns the CADDYINFO.COM board just got a 2008 STS "V"...
It is a 2008 with onl 17,000 miles on it...
It is an absolutely beautiful car with (I think( all available options...
Looks just like a brand new car.
He called me and wanted to know if I wanted to be the only other person, other than him, to drive it...
Well... DUH...
We took it up on the freeway and he told me to STEP ON IT...
So.... being the nice guy that I am... I followed orders...
We were running about 60/65 when I stepped on it.
I only ran it up to a little over 110, but it sure didn't take it long to get there.
Bruce hasn't ridden with me very much so I didn't go any faster... didn't want to scare him too bad, since he was nice enough to let me drive his car...
Believe me... I wanted to go faster, it was SO MUCH FUN, but I restrained myself...
THAT was hard to do...

The power delivery is very linear...from the 1800 RPM we were running all the way to a little over 110 MPH.
I was really surprised by that...
You really couldn't hardly tell when it shifted gears... it just kept pushing you back in the seat the same way no matter what RPM it was at.
Here are a couple of pictures of his new car...
Please excuse my old antique camera... One of these days I will get a better one.
My friend...
