Zembonez is correct, that is a socket. Take a small flat head and turn it counter-clockwise about 1/4 of a turn. You should feel a click, then you can pull it out. You can replace it with a NEO4 LED too.

Should radio shack have that LED or can I only get it online?

No. The AC control panel bulbs are soldered to the circuit board. Here's how I converted mine to LEDs. http://www.truckmodcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1764
The gauge cluster and headlight switch are the ONLY dash parts that have bulbs that can be replaced without soldering.
