I'm serious here.

How worried are you about your truck's warranty?

It amazes me how some people are scared to do anything to their vehicle simply because they are afraid it might void their warranty. I have one neighbor who won't even get his oil changed unless it's at the dealer because he says they use factory oil and he doesn't want to void his warranty. He also buys every extended warranty that is available on everything he buys (and I do mean everything). How the hell do some people go through life this worried about shit?

WOW! Are people REALLY that uptight?

I say it's just a truck. I believe in taking care of my stuff but I'd take a sawzall and cut my roof off if I wanted a convertible without hesitation. I don't give a crap about the warranty. Ya gotta live I say... and I am not waiting to do so.

What do you think? :dunno:

I was worried about the drive train warranty on the old Sierra to the point that I would not tune it. As for anything else, I was not concerned. Changed my own oil, installed a leveling kit, after market stereo, intake, exhaust, etc.

On the Tahoe, ha! Not at all.

If I break something... I'll just nut up and go get a replacement. Not the end of the world.

What is this "warranty" of which you speak?

It's been so long since I worried about a warranty on a motor vehicle, I have almost forgotten about them

When I used to have a warranty to worry about I usually only gave the vehicle about 5,000 miles then I figured it was gonna hold together.

Yes I do care, especially with the motor making odd noises.

I am a believer in not doing anything that could possibly harm your warranty! :D2

You seem to have a fetish for engine noises Jas. The 4.8 - 5.3 - 6.0 - 6.2 engines have proven to be some of the most reliable engines ever produced for a motor vehicle.

I can understand people not wanting to blatantly void the warranty on a brand new vehicle but after a few months all bets are off!

As long as I can mod it and not void the warranty.....I'm all for it. But I won't do things to purposely void it.
