As my signature says, I ahve a 97 K1500 ext cab on 265/75/16 all terrains.

When I look at it next to other stock 4x4 and Z71 chevys, sometimes mine looks like it has a leveling kit, and other times mine looks like it sits the same as others that are strictly stock form the lot. Currently, it sits 5 1/4" above each tire to the top of the wheel well and 35 1/2" from the ground to the top of the wheel well. Is this the way it is supposed to sit?

Current plans are tinting the rest of the windows, 3" body lift, and possibly a 2" suspension lift with 285/75/16. According to the build sheet I have 3.73 gears.

Thanks....Eggman

Yeah I was going to say torsion bars. Most earlier body styles are leveled by cranking them up. Saves money and time and is easy to DIY. If you don't notice much factory rake then it's likely been leveled.

:frustration: I was thinking 2 wheel drive suspension.

Yeah, the torsion bars could of been cranked or a different set of keys were installed.

Just based on the the measurement from the ground to the fender well, it doesn't sound like it has a leveling kit.

Post some pictures of the angles on the front suspension. It'll give us a better idea.
