I checked the timing on my truck today and it needs to be reset, however i can't get the hold down bolt loose. I don't have a distributor wrench or universal joint socket to get to it. Any ideas would be appreciated. It's a 95 Serria 5.0.

No, I don'even have a vise. Thought about using two pipe wrenches. But I'm letting my fingers warm up right now. To tight to work with gloves on.

Kenny what about a swivel socket. Wish you lived close. Make sure that you disconnect the wire by fire wall maybe that's why you think it's wrong it's connected.

Bent one of my cheap 9/16 wrenches and managed to get it loose. My timing was about 5 degrees retarded. Hope it makes my fuel milage improve.

Good deal. That bolt is a bear to get to without a special wrench.
