I would like to get an eaton truetrac, but my wallets a little thin, so thats the main reason for going with a G80

Hey Tyler,

A full locker is nice for offroad, but will be pretty harsh on the street since the axle shafts are always locked together.

The G80 is a good unit because it acts like an LCD until the speed differential between the two sides engages the locking mechanism. It the acts exactly the same as a FULL locker, until a certain speed is reached to allow it to disengage.

Check this out: http://www.truckmodcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5505

The benefit of a G80 over another type of LSD such as the trutrac is that LSD rears will not lock the axles together and if one tire is on very slick ice or in the air, no power will get transferred to the other wheel.

With that said... I loved my trutrac offroad. I think you would be very pleased with this carrier, and the damn thing is bulletproof

^^ FYI those tires measured over 36"... notice that they disappear in some of the ruts :naughty:. Even though its an LSD and NOT a locker, the trutrac never disappointed me offroad
