Diesel single cab short bed?

No doubt this one is a short-bed. And was the only bed option for the Argentinian version of GMT400, including the diesel ones (and this is a C2500).

Either Way, if a short bed will suffice for half or even a third of the tasks a diesel is used for, they put them on extended cab diesels, why not single? ha
I think it has to do with vehicle weight which affects towing capacity. The RCLB or ECSB trucks are about the same overall size so they have same capacity, just different payloads.

Maybe the longer frame is stronger. :dunno: That's probably a long shot.

This one was shortened, but ended up looking like a 1500. Something that could be easily made by Dodge in-house...
