The idea of modding a vehicle is to make it what YOU want it to be, not make it to fit some mold others have decided is the way to go.

I think it's a pretty creative use of the emblems myself. First time I've ever seen it done like that.

Personally I would have left the badges off, but what you've done is different. It's not bad looking at all, most people just prefer a smooth gate.

Thanks for the comments guys. Completely debadged was too bare for my taste so I needed somethin on there. I like to do things a little different sometimes.

I agree about completely debadged being too bare.. That's why I never did much debadging on the Sierra I had.. I just didn't like the "completely bare" look..

Not a fan, but props anyways. There's no way I would've got them as straight as you did. What about the door badges? Are they shaved?

Looks alright i would have placed it a little higher but id rather have it debadged but great personal touch

Nope, door badges are still there. I like a little chrome all around.



I laid a piece of tape across the tailgate and lined it up using that, that was the trick to get it so straight.

Different. It reminds me of when Chevy put CHEVROLET embossed all the way across the tailgate. I think GMT-400's had the GMC under the tailgate handle.
