I had a 93 that i put a stereo in that i got the new bezel kit for. A friends dad gave me some dye paint to use that matched the grey perfectly. I think it had the GM stamp on it.

Think the krylon will be more durable? Should i go ahead and do all my plastic?

Your choice really. I've used the Krylon on a few things here and been pleased with the results, but have no experience with the GM dye at all.

Hey Bernie, since you essentialy have the same truck as me. Is there anything I should do while I have the dash out? Ac blower resister has been replaced already and I found a bad ground for the blower fan I need to fix. What else should I do?

Remove the blower fan and clean leaves, gunk, dirt, hair out of the evaporator core.

Use SEM colorcoat aerosol, and the required prep products. and you won't be sorry.

So use the sem grey paint/dye then clear on top? Can the SEM brand be found locally?

I clean the evap core and stuff that was in the motor case a few weeks ago. Sorry I for got to mention that.

Also I talked to a guy I work with that used to be a gm master tech. He told me that the ground could have melted before i got the truck and that the parts I've already replaced since I got the truck should have fixed it and to just replace the plug. Then if the motor starts to act funny again look else where.

Update one the dash:

I took the support bars to work today for sand blasting and primer. I used rust olem cuz that's what homo depot had. Just one coat today the one more tomorrow followed by two coats of flat black then one clear enamel. I took pics but they are on my phone and I havn't uploaded them yet.

Wow that's a lot to type on a phone. Lol

I would check local bodyshop supply houses for SEM.
Using the clear depends on the type of finish you desire. I typically do not use it (unless it is a matte clear)

Check the RPO codes in the glovebox then match 'em up with the list that's on here somewhere (technical library I believe) to see what the interior color was called.
