I've kept the thing upright so far, put about 500 miles on it I believe. The head had to come off to replace a broken cam chain tensioner bolt which killed about two weeks of riding.
It also took a while to get the charging system and carbs sorted out, but they're both working well enough for now.
This is how the bike currently sits with a temporary seat that was made while drinking, I'm going to be making a two-up seat covered in brown leather once I get the new tank mounted. I've also done lots of little things like turn signals, bars, grips, went from a 16" to 17" rear wheel, welded in the rear frame loop...

And this is the new tank, 1.3 gallons larger, and looks a lot better (this is before the painted wheels and new tires, obviously).
And a really rough idea what the seat and tank should look like. British Racing Green and tan go together perfectly.
I'm 90% sure the clutch is on its way out, so that'll be another $60 or so, but everything's coming together.
