It automatically pairs with the head unit and your phone? I was looking at some Pioneer units for my truck... I was thinking that I could get one that is bluetooth ready and get the adapter for it... But I was thinking that by the time that I get all the adaptors I need I would be better off getting one of the units that have built in bluetooth and Ipod adapters...

Have you used your bluetooth yet?

He said in post 268 that the "streaming bluetooth audio is kickass!"

Yeah, that portion is kick-ass! It's crystal clear and automatically connects as soon as I get in. I just assumed he was talking about the hands-free calling.

I'm going to play with the USB-based media handling today.

Hey, Scott, you don't happen to know a part number for the little dash cubby that replaces my OnStar switches and cover panels, do ya? It's pointless for me to have the OnStar buttons there. Maybe I'll swing by the Chevy dealer today!

Anyone know where the reverse light lead is on my Tahoe? BCM? Any idea which wire?

My backup cam will be here on Monday and I'll need to tap into that wire to tell the head unit to display the image. The cam itself is powered by the reverse lights but I don't want to have to run a lead all the way to the front for the actual trigger on the HU.

I've looked at several diagrams they all say its a light green (+) wire. But 3 different locations. One says the tail light, one says at the switch on the transmission, and says "inside the rearview mirror".
I'll post back if I find out anything else.

I've heard it's the light green wire from the black plug (pin F) on the BCM but that was for an '05. I know there were some changes between '01 and '05 but I don't know about the BCM.

No, don't know that number but I know what cubby you mean. My brother has one in the Tahoe as it didn't have Onstar. I don't use On star either, but I have my alarm LED mounted on one of those lower blanks and a toggle switch on the other blank. I had that toggle switch hooked to my stock radio Aux input adapter to switch the audio btween the DVD player and my MP3 player. Even though the stock radio has been replaced, that switch is still there.

UPDATE: Ok I just found it for you. You owe me another beer you sumbitch.
Unplug the harness from the rear view mirror, its the light green wire in that plug, the third wire from the right. I just metered that wire and it switches to 13volts when I put the gear in reverse.
I'm sure you can trace this harness to one of the windshield pillars and grab the wire there.

Yeah that must be on the 03 on up BCM's. I looked and my BCM doesn't even have a black plug, it has a purple, blue and brown. Although I did see a few light green wires, maybe one of them is a reverse wire? :dunno:

Do you have a TMC decal yet? I'll buy one and send it to you if you'd like!

Actually I don't have one yet. I want to put one on my windshield but I was waition because I have a huge crack and will be replacing it soon. Prolly sooner than later as it just spread into the drivers side now and it catches sunlight while I'm driving in the middle of the day. Hopefully I wont get pulled over for it before I get it changed. I still gotta change out that rear window regulator as well, and now my dam drivers door lock actuator is actin up. But I just spent about a dam grand on brakes and tires for the wifes car (drilled and slotted rotors, ceramic pads, Sumitumo tires) so money is kinda tight right now.... Its pissin me off:fume:
Now yesterday she was whining about they squeel every now and then. I told she probly still gettin the pad broken in, if it still doin it about a month from now, I'll have to take it all apart and put some more caliper grease on everything...
