Why the replacement body instead of painting the existing one?
I am just not sure how many rubs/scratches I am going to have to deal with so I'd rather go with the solid body for now. If i don't find many rubs or scratches after this season, maybe then.

Well the point was that I bet it would be cheaper and a better finish to paint the existing tub... AND it could be any color.
I did read the first post but I was left less than satisfied with the reasoning... hence the question.
