Prep is everything. Looks like you are off to a great start on it!

its got a bit more work needed than i thought. sprayed it black and i can see all the sanding grooves i forgot about and thought the primer might help remove. its somewhat in the truck for now but itll be back to work tomorrow on it

I thought the primer would help on my interior pieces. Apparently one groove (from the original molding) was too deep and you can still see it, but no one besides me will ever notice. I learned the hard way to sand more than you think you need to.

Looks good Jake, I saw it in person when we met and had dinner one evening and it's definitely a cool custom piece. Very nice work and I think it's cool how you tackled doing it your way, with the help of vans on the glass work, you did good.

haha most of my sanding grooves are from the 80 grit i used to shape the glazing putty. gonna add some more to a few areas and then work from 80 to 320 then 600 possibly 1000 before primer

I think it came along nicely. Sanding is a pain with anything. I'm anxious to see the final product.

Looks Great.

I'd love to get into fiberglass work a little bit. I know nothing about it.

Any tips and tricks or lessons learned for those of us looking at giving fiberglass work a try??
